Frocks, Socks and the Orange Fox

Frocks, Socks and the Orange Fox, is a touring children’s dance show by East Lab Dance Company, UK Tour, 2023.

Choreographed by Matilda Rowland and Rosie Roberts

Set and costume design by me.

We developed the design for this show to feel like a story book, as the performances all happened in libraries, and were to help children to learn about rhyming words. It was a fun and playful design, that needed to be easily transportable and quick to unload. There was a theme of patchwork and socks throughout the design, that carried through to the stay and play after the performance, with a large ‘river’ quilt made from patchwork fabric, and lots of odd socks.
